SMITH (Peterhead) Tom, Wilma Hay and family wish to thank most sincerely all relatives, friends and neighbours who have extended their sympathy to them by way of cards, letters, telephone calls, personal callers to their house, and to those who gave so willingly to the Special Nursery Fund in lieu of flowers, during the `Home Call' of Alice, a dear mother, mother-in-law, granma, great-granma, great-great-granma, sister and aunt. Many thanks also to Professor Ritchie for his ungrudging efforts, even while on holiday, to make Alice more comfortable from the debilitating effects of such a long age, and to all the other doctors and all the staff of the Summers Ward for their tender loving care. To all her carers, but especially Janet, Linda and Pauline, who over the past year served Alice so well. To Mr Douglas Gibb and Asst. Supt. Jonathan Beharrell for their most uplifting words of comfort. To Robert Mackie for his many visits to the family home during their time of sorrow, and to Craig, who along with his father, handled everything to a degree of dignified professionalism, which would be impossible to better. Finally, to all who paid their last respects both in The Almanythie Hall and at Balmoor Cemetery, many thanks to you all. Alice has crossed the swelling of Jordan and is now safely on the other side with her Lord.
