All I ever wanted was for you to come back home but now you've gone and left me and I feel so alone. You've left so much behind you Mom so much for me to do but as I always promised Mom, I'll try and battle through.

If only you had told me Mom before we had to part, just how I'd ever find a way to heal my broken heart, I know you'd have found the words to help me understand, just how I can carry on without your guiding hand.

If only you could hold me Mom anddry the tears I cry, then perhaps it wouldn't hurt so much for us to say goodbye.
