It is with great sadness that Norma and Susan announce the passing of John Douglas. He slept away peacefully in the Acute Stroke Unit, at ARI, on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. John was 73, a retired finance consultant, after his retiral he then took children with special needs to school. John was the dearly loved and cherished husband of Norma, a much loved dad of Susan and the proud grandad of Amy and James. He was also a much respected brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law and a good friend to many and he will be sorely missed from their lives. The service will be held at Ruthrieston West Church, Broomhill Road, Aberdeen, on Friday, September 12, at 1.00 p.m., thereafter private cremation. Family flowers only, but donations at the church door will be gratefully received for the Acute Stroke Unit, where John was so lovingly nursed.
