MACKAY Allan MacKay R.I.P. died peacefully, on February 18, 2008, in the care of staff in Ward 6C Raigmore Hospital. Born and brought up on the island of South Uist, he then became a resident at Craig Dunain Hospital, where he worked in the laundry for many years. Allan had been a resident at Meallmore Lodge Care Home, Daviot, Inverness, for the past 15 years and will be sadly missed by staff and residents. Service tomorrow (Thursday), February 21, at 10 a.m., in the Funeral Home of John Fraser & Son, Chapel Street, Inverness. A service to follow, on Saturday, February 23, at 12.30 p.m., in St. Michaels, Ard Kenneth, Eochar, South Uist, interment in Ard Kenneth Cemetery. No flowers. Donations to Parkinson's Disease Society and Meallmore Lodge Residents Funds may be given at the service or forwarded to the Funeral Directors.
