ALEXANDER Peacefully at Ward 17, ARI, on Friday, December 14, 2012, Tom, aged 71 years (taxi driver and T.A.), beloved husband of the late Freda, dear dad to Tommy and Lynn, loving grandpa, great-grandpa and brother. Funeral ceremony shall be held at Wm. Gilchrist Funeral Directors Chapel, 46 Rose Street (where now resting), on Thursday, December 20, at 12.00 noon to which all friends are respectfully invited, cremation thereafter private. Family flowers only please.

I have known Tommy since the mid 80s when he was a taxi driver and always chatted to us Rosemount loons, he was one of those guys who loved a laugh, when i joined the 22 Club in 1988 he used to come in and learned us how to play Dominoes badly but when he came into the room people would instantly say 'Here's Abdul' for his dark tan, smoking his big pipe and a pint of heavy, many laughs and his he could wind anyone up but knew how to joke with others, i will miss him and his late wife Freda a great deal.
