BROWN

Marjorie

Born in Birmingham, Marjorie was evacuated to Derbyshire during the Second World War and met Husband Des when the Family moved to a small-holding in Ketley, she worked as a Telephonist and made several lifelong Friends before leaving to bring up Sons Ian and David.

Always industrious, she later returned to work at Hadley Co-op and then GKN Sankey.

A lover of music, she sang in Red Lake Church Choir and also became an accomplished Crown Green Bowler. Despite severe illness fromwhich she never fully recovered, Marjorie still took a very active part in caring for her Grandchildren and fulfilled a long held ambition in learning to swim.

Following the death of her beloved Husband, she moved from Hadley to Hartshill and as her health declined to The Villa Nursing Home, where she died peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2012.

Funeral Service to be held at Shrewsbury Crematorium, at 1.45pm, Tuesday, February 14.

Donations, if desired, for The Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
