MATTHEWS

Wilfred James

(Wilf)

Jo and Dan Matthews, big Sister Violet and the Family of the late Wilf Matthews wish to express their sincere thanks to all Relatives, Friends, Neighbours, Colleagues and Members of the wider Church Family for the many cards, letters, emails and other kind messages of sympathy, love and prayers received at this very sad and terribly difficult time, for the attendance of so many of you at Wilf's 'Carnival' at The Trinity Methodist Church at Codsall and for your donations to the P.I.C.U. at Birmingham Children's Hospital. Your wonderful support has been greatly appreciated by us all.

Special thanks to his Doctors, to the Staff at Cleobury Mortimer Medical Practice, to the Doctors and Staff at Birmingham Children's Hospital and to everyone at The Acorn Hospice at Worcester for the wonderful love, care and attention that Wilf has received from you all throughout his life, to the Committees, players and supporters of Bridgnorth, Clee Hill and Highley Rugby Clubs for the 'Rucking for Wilf' Fundraiser and for the specialist equipment it provided, to the Bearers for completing your duties with such dignity and care, to Ann Raymond Florists at Pattingham for the magnificent floral tributes, to Mr Paul Eyles for bringing the red double decker bus that Wilf loved so much and for carrying him to the Crematorium, to all who participated in the Ceremonies for your very personal contributions to a most special day, to everyone at The Trinity Methodist Church at Codsall for all your help, support and thoughtfulness throughout these difficult days and also for your hospitality and for looking after everyone so well afterwards, to the Reverend Ian Heath for your support and kindness and to the Reverend Kathryn Darby and the Reverend Nick Ball, Chaplains at Birmingham Children's Hospital for leading us in a most uplifting Celebration of Wilf's short life and for helping us to say goodbye to him with our love and our thanks.

Thank youall.
