REID (Tain/Merthyr Tydfil)Very suddenly in his home in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, on Saturday, April 26, 2014, Scott John Mackenzie Reid, aged 40 years, Curator of Cyfarthfa Castle Museum, adored and devoted son of Jack and Vivianne, `Glencoe', Manse Street, Tain, much loved brother and brother-in-law of Douglas and Wendy, proud uncle of Rosemary, and dear grandson of Melba. Sadly missed and loved by all his extended family and friends. Funeral service will be held in Park Baptist Church, Merthyr Tydfil, on Tuesday, May 6, at 1 p.m., followed by a service of thanksgiving in Tain Parish Church, on Friday, May 9, at 1 p.m., thereafter interment in St. Duthus New Cemetery. All family and friends are respectfully invited to attend one of both of the services. Floral tributes may be given, if desired, and there will be an opportunity at both services for those who wish to make a donation to the Cardiff and Vale ULHV (fund raising neuroscience), where Scott spent many months, or donations may be sent to Alasdair Rhind, Funeral Directors, Sutherland House, Bank Street, Tain.
