Passed away in Russells Hall Hospital, on August 27, aged 83 years.

Funeral Service on Friday, September 24, at Lake Street Methodist Church, Lower Gornal, 12.45pm, followed by Committal at Gornal Wood Crematorium.

Flowers or donations for The British Heart Foundation accepted.

Dad

Through the years that I grew up I thought of you with pride from my early days of childhood, until I became a bride, then as the years unfolded I drew my strength from you, Iknew your inspiration would always get me through, but now your life is over and your time on earth is through, I would like to send this thank you, just for being you.

Your devoted Daughter Marilyn.

Take him by the hand Lord and guide him on his way, he didn't want to leave us but we knew he couldn't stay.

The pain and the fight is over, although gone in body Dad you will live forever in our hearts and memories.

Having you in my life Grandad was a special gift to me, it was moulded in the finest gold that there could ever be. Nothing in this world could match it like you do, it was a gift of the rarest love that only me and you knew. I'll miss our Sunday chats and the stories you used to tell I'll miss your cheeky laughter and that big smile as well, I know that sparkle will be back in your eye, now you're with Nannie Sal in the sky.

Words cannot begin to say the pain we feel since you went away, the only good to come from this is for you to join the one we also miss. We hope and pray you're now at peaceand that you find your missing piece.

Great-Grandad Ted

We have a wonderful Grandad, one who never grew old, his smile was made of sunshine, his heart was solid gold, his eyes were bright as shining stars, his beaming smile you would see, we had a wonderful Grandad and that's the way it will always be.

Goodbyes were left unspoken that morning you slipped away, you left so many memories that will never fade away.

Back in the arms of Nanny Sal.
