To CELIA & THE FAMILY
As a former pupil of the Royal Wolverhampton School between 1968-1975 I grew to have much respect for David as a teacher of English and as contingent commander of the CCF. David encouraged me as a pupil and always treated me with great courtesy. I last saw David in 1994, after he retired.
Despite the difficulties in his final years, to have lived 81 years is a long life and the profession of teaching a noble cause. I for one have reason to thank David for his guidance and encouragement. I cannot imagine the loss the family must feel at David's going but I feel David was the best of teachers and set a very good example for all.
Please accept my condolences & God bless you all.
Yours sincerely,
Patrick Harris,
