The day came upon me when I had to say goodbye, the hardest thing I ever had to do, is sit and watch you die.

I sat beside your bed and held your hand with love, I whispered softly in your ear, I kissed your head with tenderness.

Did you feel the kiss Chris and did you hear me cry, did you hear my heart break when I had to say goodbye?

How do I write on paper the love I have inside, in life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still, in my heart you hold a place, that no one could ever fill.

We've lost our Dad with a heart of gold, how much we'll miss him can never be told. He shared our troubles and helped us along, you were our Dad, we say it with pride, it broke our hearts the day you died.
