Dr. Francis died peacefully, on August 14, 2004, at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, after a short illness, greatly loved husband, father, grandfather and friend of many. There will be a private funeral service at his request. No flowers please, but donations in lieu, if so desired, direct to the Anchor Unit, A.R.I. or MacMillan Cancer Relief. The family would like to thank all staff on wards 15 and 17 at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for their kindness and attentive care.
